Even though no one has taken Ayush Mhatre in the Mega auction of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings include him in the team in place of Rituraj Gaikwad which has been out due to injury to the tournament.

The young player batted brilliantly against Mumbai Indians, scoring a 32 -run innings with the help of four fours and two sixes off 15 balls. He attacked a strong attack against some bowlers of Mumbai Indians. Despite his bad start due to his batting, Chennai Super Kings scored 176 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs. In response, Mumbai Indians took this match in their name with 9 wickets.

Ayush Mhatre’s grandfather Laxmikant Nayak said, ‘We had seen his talent with the bat. We hoped that he would do something big in the game and we had a duty to take them forward. We sent him to Vengsarkar Cricket Academy. Prior to Sachin Tendulkar, his name was taken in veteran players. Ayush has learned a lot here.

Ayush Mhatre has left his mark in first class cricket

Ayush Mhatre made his debut as an opener in the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team against the rest of India team in the Iranian Trophy last year. He has played 9 first class matches for the Mumbai team in which the young player has scored two centuries and a half -century. Ayush Mhatre has also played 7 List-A matches in which he has scored 458 runs on the basis of two centuries and a half-century.

Ayush Mhatre can also be seen leaving his mark in the remaining matches of Chennai Super Kings of IPL 2025. He is still a very young player, he can be seen playing tremendous cricket even further.
