Delhi: The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has expanded the scope of its anti-doping program and prepared a new list of ‘Registered Testing Pool’ (RTP) for 2025. The list includes several prominent and centrally contracted cricketers, such as men’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, Test vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah, ODI vice-captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.
New players added
Players like Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Arshdeep Singh, Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma are also included in this new list. The names of women cricketers are Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh Thakur.

Testing by Dope Control Officer (DCO)
Dope Control Officers (DCOs) of NADA will collect urine samples of these RTP players during the upcoming white-ball series on England tour. DCOs will visit various match venues and take samples and BCCI has been informed about this.
Introduction and earlier cases of RTP
In September 2019, NADA had formed RTP for men and women cricketers, which included players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma. These players provided their ‘Whereabouts’ details to the dope control officers of NADA, so that they could be made available for testing.
A warning was given in the first case
In June 2020, NADA had warned Pujara, Jadeja, Rahul, Mandhana and Sharma for not providing information ‘about’. BCCI had claimed that the mistake was due to a password problem and lack of access to the BCCI office during the Covid-19 lockdown.
