Vaibhav made this record on the second day of the first Youth Test between India Under-19 and England Under-19 being played in Bekenham. Batting first for India, the team scored 540 runs thanks to Ayush Mhatre’s 102, Abhigyan’s 90 and Rahul Kumar’s 85 runs.
When the England team came out to bat, they scored 230 runs for 5 wickets till the stumps. Henil Patel bowled brilliantly for India and took two wickets.

Vaibhav’s historic moment came when he dismissed England captain Hamza Sheikh on the last ball of the 45th over. This ball was a full toss that was hit towards the long-off, but Henil Patel, standing there, caught the catch. With this, Vaibhav took the first wicket of his youth Test career.
With this feat, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to take the youngest wicket in the youth Test for India. He was just 14 years and 107 days old. Earlier this record was in the name of Manishi, who achieved this feat against South Africa in 2019.
