Delhi: Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana has credited his success to veteran Pesar Jaspreet Bumrah. The 23-year-old Rana made his debut in Test cricket during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in December, while recently played his first match in T20 and ODI series against England.
On the tour of Australia, he got an opportunity to bowl with Jasprit Bumrah, which he benefited greatly. After India’s six -wicket win in the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh, Rana said, “I got to learn a lot from bowling with Jaspreet Bhai. He has a great experience and he always guided me. “
Rana said that during the tour of Australia, he discussed with Bumrah about Test cricket and other formats, which led him to learn a lot. He said, “I learned continuity from Bumrah Bhai. Apart from this, Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel did a lot of work on my line and length, which could enhance my performance. The coach and the captain also got full support, which gave me a chance to play better. ”

India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in the first match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Indian bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami, performed brilliantly, all out Bangladesh for 228 runs in 49.4 overs. In response, India won the match by scoring 231 runs for four wickets in 46.3 overs thanks to Shubman Gill’s brilliant unbeaten century (101* runs, 129 balls, 9 fours, 2 sixes).
