Delhi: The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has recently denied rumors that Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav is planning to go to Goa with some of his companions for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. The MCA clarified that Suryakumar is fully committed to representing Mumbai in all formats of the game.

Earlier, Mumbai’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had announced to join the Goa team due to alleged differences with some senior players of the Ranji team. However, he will be able to connect with the Goa team only when the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) will open its inter-state transfer window.

Recently, a media report claimed that Suryakumar could leave the Mumbai Ranji team, but he himself rejected this report on his X handle.

MCA Secretary Abhay Hadap said, “We are aware of these rumors going on on social media. MCA officials interacted with Suryakumar and we confirm that these reports are completely wrong and baseless. Suryakumar is devoted to Mumbai and feel proud to be a part of this team.”

He appealed to everyone to avoid spreading false news and support the players. At the same time, MCA also clarified that the news of Tilak Verma going to Goa for Hyderabad has also been found to be wrong. Significantly, Suryakumar Yadav also reflects Mumbai Indians (Mi) in IPL.
