Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Tim David has given special advice to his team’s openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt before the match against Mumbai Indians (Mi) on Monday. David wants that the first ball of Jaspreet Bumrah, who is making a comeback, should be sent across the boundary.
Please tell that Bumrah suffered a back injury during the Sydney Test, due to which he had to go through a long rehab in COE. Due to this, he could not become a part of India’s 2025 Champions Trophy campaign. Bumrah’s return is a relief news for Mumbai Indians, who have won only one match in IPL 2025 so far.
Tim David said in a press conference before the match, “Bumrah is considered the best bowler in the world, and we need this challenge. If we have to travel a long way in this tournament, we have to defeat the best teams and the best players. Hopefully, he will put the first ball and our openers will be a surprise or six, the same will be more fantastic.
David laughed at playing against Bumrah himself, “I will save my fingers, those yorkers make it very dangerous. But, it gives the most pleasure to perform well against such top players, when you play against Best, you have real fun. I am waiting for this challenge.”
Let us know that Bumrah’s record against RCB has been excellent. He has so far taken 29 wickets in 19 matches at an average of 19.03. At the same time, Tim David, who played for Mumbai Indians from 2022 to 2024, has never been able to face Bumrah in the IPL.
