Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees nominated for the Male and Women’s Player of the Month Award for March 2025. Shreyas Iyer of India has been nominated in the men’s category, while Jacob Dafi and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand are also included in this category.
Shreyas Iyer’s great performance
In March 2025, the Indian team succeeded in winning the Champions Trophy, and Shreyas Iyer played an important role in it. He scored 172 runs in three ODIs, with his average of 57.33. This great performance made him the highest run-scorer in India in the tournament.
Iyer scored 79 runs in a group stage match against New Zealand. Subsequently, he scored 45 runs against Australia in the semi -finals. In the final match, Iyer once again batted under pressure and played an important innings of 48 runs, which was helpful in India’s victory.
Jacob Dafi’s great bowling performance
Jacob Dafi of New Zealand performed brilliantly in the T20I series against Pakistan. He helped New Zealand to win the series 4–1 and took 13 wickets during this period. His average was only 8.38 and he bowled economically at the rate of 6.17 to spend runs.

Dafi’s best performance took place in Christchurch, where he took 4 wickets for 14 runs. Apart from this, he also took 4 wickets for 20 runs in Mount Munganui. Due to these brilliant bowling of Dafi, he reached the number 1 position in the ICC’s men’s T20 I bowling rankings. By the end of March, he took a total of 15 wickets in six matches.
Rachin Ravindra’s significant contribution
Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand also played an important role in reaching the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Ravindra scored 151 runs in three ODIs, with his average 50.33 and his strike rate was 106.33. Along with this, he also contributed to bowling and took three wickets, his economy rate was 4.66.
Ravindra scored a brilliant century against South Africa in the semi -finals. He scored 108 runs and shared an important 164 -run partnership with Kane Williamson. However, he did not play in the series against Pakistan as he was selected for IPL 2025.
