Delhi: Team India’s emerging star Devdutt Padikkal shared his heart in RCB bold diaries and told how he is living the dream which he saw every day in childhood. He said that Test cricket has been the biggest priority of his career and playing it has always been his ultimate goal.
Padikkal made his Test debut in the fifth match played against England in Dharamshala in 2024. He scored 65 runs in his first innings while batting at number four. He did not get a chance to bat again in that match, as India won that match by one innings and 64 runs.
Left -handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal described the moment of getting a test cap as very emotional and memorable and said that the day was the most special day of his life. He said that every small thing related to that moment, even every memory of the previous night, is still fresh in his mind.
Pudikal further said, “I remember every thing of that day, what happened on the match day, and the moment when I got the Test Cap, that is the feeling that I might never feel again, because this happens only once in life. That day when I came back to the room, I kept crying all night, but that tears were not of sorrow, but that was the happiness that is very much, when your dream is very special when you were very happy. Was.”
So far, Devdutt Padikkal has played only two Test matches for Team India, which has scored 90 runs in three innings, including a brilliant half -century. Apart from this, he has also represented India in two T20 international matches, in which he scored a total of 38 runs and his best score is 29 runs.
