Delhi: Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudarshan has created a new history in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He set a great record in the match played against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday. Sudarshan has become the first Indian cricketer to score five consecutive half -centuries on the same ground in IPL history. Fifth half -century at Narendra Modi Stadium
Sudarshan completed a half -century in 32 balls in the match against Rajasthan Royals, which set this record. AB de Villiers’s act
Prior to Sudarshan, this record was named after the great South African batsman AB de Villiers. He achieved this feat by scoring five consecutive half -centuries at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in 2018 and 2019. At that time de Villiers was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Sudarshan’s fantastic IPL career
Sai has so far scored 1,307 runs in 30 matches of his IPL career at an average of 48.41. During this, he has also scored a century and 9 half -centuries.
