Delhi: Batsman Ashutosh Sharma addressed reporters at the press conference on Saturday before the high-voltage match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 26 -year -old Ashutosh is recently in the discussion against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the first match of his IPL season due to a 66 -run match winning innings off 31 balls.
Talking on the impact player rule, Ashutosh said, “It is a matter of staying in the moment and relying on the process, when the time comes to bat, just to complete my role. I have to keep things simple and do not take pressure, when you get a chance to bat, play with my natural game and do what you have learned.”
Regarding playing the first domestic match of this season in Delhi, he said, “This is my first year in Delhi, so it was quite excited before the start of the season. And, the way we are playing, it looks fantastic to represent Delhi Capitals. Now on my homeground, on my home ground, you will get a chance to play in front of my fans, nothing better than this.”
Praising Akshar Patel’s captaincy, the right -handed batsman said, “Akshar Bhai leads with a calm mind. They make all the players especially very comfortable. Culture is very open in our camp, you can talk on any subject, and that makes a great atmosphere.”

On the pitch conditions of Delhi, Ashutosh said, “Nowadays everyone understands a good understanding about the status of the pitch, the kind of cricket we play and the data available, the players guess how the pitch will behave. The real thing is to mold themselves according to the match situation, if the wicket falls quickly, but if the late batting comes, it will depend on the situation fast.”
