Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have registered a case against a well-known taxi service company in the Delhi High Court. The case is related to a viral advertisement, in which the star batsman of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) seems to be Travis Head. This Ed was released on YouTube on 5 April and RCB says that he has been mocked in this ad.
Controversy over RCB being called ‘Royley Challenge Bangalore’
In this 1 -minute ad, Travis Head is seen spraying a paint and RCB is called ‘Royley Challenged Bengaluru’. The team passed this thing exasperating and they filed a court case against the company regarding this ad.
On behalf of RCB, lawyer Shwetashree Mazumdar said in the court that such negative talk harm the team’s image. He also said that it violates the trademark of Ed RCB.
RCB’s lawyer said, “There were millions of ways to create creative ads. But, why did you use my trademark? And why chose a player who has been a part of our team before? Can this ‘Fair Use’ be called for Uber Moto?”

Company reply
At the same time, on behalf of the taxi company, the lawyer said that the word ‘Royley Challenged’ has been used in the media before. He said, “Whenever a team wins from RCB, the media often uses this word.”
The company’s lawyer also stated that this ed was designed for the promotion of the match between RCB and SRH on 13 May.
The result is still
At present, the case is going on in the court and no official statement has come from BCCI or IPL. RCB believes that his image is played with and it should be taken seriously.
It is worth noting that RCB vs SRH match will be played on 13 May at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
