Delhi: Former Australian veteran opener David Warner has tied up with the team of Major League Cricket (MLC) of America. He will take part in the third edition of the tournament starting from June 12. According to Espncricinfo report, this will be the first appearance of Warner in MLC. Currently, he is captaining Karachi Kings (KK) in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025.

David Warner has played 401 matches in his T20 career so far, in which he has scored 12,956 runs and his strike rate has been 140.27.

Seattle Orkas made a brilliant start in the first season of MLC in 2023 and reached the finals in the top in the points table, but MI lost in the final against New York. However, the team’s performance in the second season was very disappointing and under the captaincy of Henrik Klassen, the team could win only one of the seven matches and finished last.

MLC 2025 will be held from 12 June to 13 July. This time the schedule of the tournament will not hit “The Hundred”, so that David Warner will not have any problem in playing for the London Spirit.

David Warner remained unsold in the mega auction of IPL 2025 and this is the first time after 2009, when he is not able to play in the IPL. Warner is the fourth highest run -scorer in IPL history. He has scored 6565 runs in 184 innings.
