Delhi: This year’s cricket conference will be chaired by Jai Shah, who will lead this meeting as the President of ICC for the first time. In a meeting held in Harare recently, Singapore has been decided as the venue of this conference.

Changes suggested by Sourav Ganguly’s committee

The Cricket Committee headed by former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has recommended some important changes. One of these major suggestions is that only one ball should be used from the 25th over in ODI cricket. At present, two balls are used from the beginning, which last till the entire match. This change can help fast bowlers in reverse swing, which has disappeared in white ball cricket.

Consideration of time ban in Test cricket

The Cricket Committee has proposed another significant change in Test cricket. Under this, it is suggested to start an in-game clock in Test matches, so that 90 overs can be completed every day. As the T20 is in cricket, the team has to be ready to throw a second over after 60 seconds, similarly this time limit can be implemented in Test cricket.

Change in format of ICC Under 19 World Cup

Another important proposal is that the ICC Under -19 World Cup should be held in T20 format instead of ODIs. This change will give young players to play in small formats and will speed up the speed of the game.
