KKR can still qualify: all-rounder Moin Ali’s plan.

Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) team of defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2025 is currently in trouble. The team has won only 3 out of 8 matches played so far. However, KKR’s star all -rounder Moin Ali is confident that his team can make a comeback and make it to the IPL 2025 playoffs.

KKR’s batting has not done much special this season. For this reason, the team is at number seven in the points table. Now he will have to win at least 5 matches out of his remaining 6 matches, only then it will be expected to reach the playoffs.

Moin Ali expected qualification

Before the match against Punjab Kings, Moin Ali said, “Yes, of course, we can go to the playoffs. If you look at history, Mumbai also made a bad start and now winning four consecutive matches and is in good form. We will have to think the same. We have to think the same. Now half the tournament is left and we have to win most matches.”

He further said, “Our team has the power that can win the match continuously. But, there is a lot of confidence and hard work for this.”

KKR’s batting has been a continuous flop. Players like Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell and Ramandeep Singh have failed to win the team in the last overs.

In the last match against Punjab, the team was chasing a target of just 112 runs and was in a strong position on the score of 62/2. But, after this, the team lost their 8 wickets within just 33 runs.

Before that, the team was almost close to victory even after chasing a big target of 239 runs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). But, once again the wickets started falling in the final over and the team lost by just 4 runs.

Said to change the mindset

The star all-rounder said, “Some time ago we had achieved a target of around 240. It means that we are playing well in between. Now we just want a mindset in which we can convince ourselves that we are playing well and bat openly.”

He further said, “As we have batting in the last two matches, we cannot win the match. We need to play openly on the field and have a little fun. Looking from outside, it seems that there is a lot of pressure on the players, but we have to remove that pressure and show our skills.”
