Announcing his Test retirement on Instagram Story, Rohit Sharma wrote, “Hello, I just want to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. It is a matter of respect for me to represent my country in White Jersey. It is a matter of respect for me. Thank you all for love and support in so many years. I will continue to represent India in ODI formats.” Rohit played 67 matches in his Test career, scoring 4301 runs at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries and 18 half -centuries.

India will get a new Test captain

India will now get a new Test captain for the five -Test series starting in England from 20 June, with Jaspreet Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant possible candidates.
