Rohit Sharma hangs out with Harbhajan Singh after Test retirement: viral video

Indian veteran player Rohit Sharma surprised the cricket world by announcing his retirement from Test format on Thursday, 7 May. During the Champions Trophy 2025, there were reports of Rohit’s retirement from ODIs, but after making the team the champion, he made it clear that he was not going anywhere.

In the middle of the IPL, Hitman had spoken about the upcoming Test series against England on Michael Clarke’s podcast, in view of which Rohit’s retirement has shocked everyone. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was spotted with former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, whose video is going viral on social media.

Announcing his Test retirement on Instagram Story, Rohit Sharma wrote, “Hello, I just want to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. It is a matter of respect for me to represent my country in White Jersey. It is a matter of respect for me. Thank you all for love and support in so many years. I will continue to represent India in ODI formats.” Rohit played 67 matches in his Test career, scoring 4301 runs at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries and 18 half -centuries.

India will get a new Test captain

India will now get a new Test captain for the five -Test series starting in England from 20 June, with Jaspreet Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant possible candidates. Bumrah captained the team in some Test matches during the tour of Australia. But at the moment, Rahul and Gill are at the forefront due to the repeated fitness problems of the vice-captain Bumrah.
