Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs and final matches may not have been announced yet, but according to sources, the Narendra Modi Stadium of Ahmedabad is ready to host these important matches. Qualifier 2 and finals are to be played on June 1 and 3 respectively.
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet announced Venue. The main reason for this is the uncertainty of monsoon across the country. BCCI is constantly monitoring the weather situation in the country and the possibility of competing in Ahmedabad is considered strong if the weather is clear.
Mumbai may be qualifier 1 and eliminator’s venue
Mumbai has emerged as a prominent contender for qualifier 1 and Eliminator. However, due to the recent rains and continuous cloudy, BCCI is assessing the situation here. If the weather does not cooperate, then options like Delhi, Jaipur or Lucknow can be considered, where the chances of rain in the beginning of June are very low.
Kolkata’s Eden Gardens has been dropped from the playoff race. This decision has been taken due to the uncertain season there. Anyway, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have already played all their home matches in Kolkata.
The thrill of IPL 2025 is going to resume from 17 May. The remaining 17 matches will be played in six major cities – Mumbai, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Jaipur. Fans are now eagerly waiting for exciting matches and possible new champion teams.
