Delhi: England star all -rounder Moin Ali has withdrawn the name from the remaining season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. His decision has been taken keeping in mind the recent stressful situation between India and Pakistan.
Moin Ali is one of the selected international players who have decided to withdraw from the tournament in view of the current situation. Significantly, during the ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched by India, some close relatives of Moin were stuck in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), while he was present in India with his wife and children.
The season of IPL 2025 was suddenly stopped when the power of the ground Dharamshala suddenly fell suddenly during the first innings between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamshala. Subsequently, the league was postponed for 9 days due to security reasons. Now it has started again from Saturday.
Speaking on Beard Before Wicket Podcast, Moin Ali shared his experiences, “My parents were in Kashmir at that time… in Pakistan, maybe an hour away from the attack place. He was a very stressful time. He caught the only flight to come out the same day. I was happy that he came out safely, but all this was very madness.”
Sharing his experiences in India, he said, “All this was very strange. Initially, attacks took place in Kashmir and then things suddenly deteriorated very fast. It seemed as if we are in the middle of the war. However, we have not heard any missile or blast, but the atmosphere had completely changed. At that time you only think about your family’s safety.”
Will you return forward?
However, Moin Ali has decided to withdraw from the remaining matches of IPL 2025, but he did not rule out the possibility of returning in future. The all -rounder said that his focus is currently on the safety and mental peace of the family.
