Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Devjit Saikia, has denied the reports that India was said to have been withdrawn from the upcoming women’s Emerging Asia Cup and the Men Asia Cup to be held in 2025.
Rumors spread on social media
Some media reports and news were spreading rapidly on social media that BCCI has decided to get out of both these Asian Cricket Council (ACC) tournaments. Apart from this, it was also being claimed that the Emerging Asia Cup to be held next month in Sri Lanka has also been canceled.
What is truth? BCCI did not take any decision
Devjit Saikia has described all these reports as baseless and imaginary. He said that till now BCCI has not talked with ACC about any tournament. Nor has any decision of any kind has been taken.

Saikia clearly stated that at this time the entire focus of the board is on IPL 2025 and India’s upcoming series (both male and female) against England. There is no meeting or discussion about the ACC tournaments yet.
