Delhi: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has come to its last phase, where Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKs) have qualified for the playoffs. But, the question is still the fourth and last team to reach the playoffs. Currently, the points are Mumbai Indians (Mi) with 14 marks at number four in the table. Now Mi has included three new players in its team for playoff matches.
3 changes in Mi
Mumbai Indians have signed Johnny Bairstow, Richard Glison and Charit Asanka as replacement players. These three players will replace Will Jacks, Ryan Ryyan Ricelton and Corbin Bosch, who are leaving the IPL for the national duty of their respective country.
After the last league match of Mi, these players will join the team and if the team qualify for the playoffs, then these players will be available from there.
England’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Johnny Bairstow has been included in the team in place of Will Jacks. He has been signed for Rs 5.25 crore. Bairstow is holding a very good grip in IPL and his experience can prove to be very beneficial for the team.
England fast bowler Richard Glison has been included in the team in place of Ryan Ricelton. Glison has been signed at a base price of Rs 1 crore. His bowling pace and the ability to take wickets in death overs can prove useful for the team.
In the third change, Sri Lanka’s left -handed batsman Charit Asanka has been replaced in the team in place of Corbin Bosch. Actuals have been signed for Rs 75 lakh. They can strengthen the team in the middle order.
Mumbai Indians have faced some ups and downs in this season, but the expectations of the playoff are still alive. If the team qualifies, then the presence of these new players can strengthen the team.
