Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s early dominance, Jurael-Hetmyer guide Rajasthan to victory.

Delhi: In the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s brilliant half -century innings, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets and ended their last match of IPL 2025 with victory. In this match played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Chennai scored 187 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Rajasthan achieved the target with 17 balls remaining.

First innings game

For Chennai, Ayush Mhatre made a fast start and hit 43 runs in 28 balls, including 8 fours and 1 six. But as soon as he was out, Chennai’s innings slowed down. Devon Conway scored 10 runs, while Urvil Patel could not even open an account. Ashwin scored 8 runs in 13 balls. Ravindra Jadeja was also dismissed for just 1 run.

Dhoni’s bat was also silent

In the middle overs, Dewald Brevis scored 42 runs in 25 balls for a while and Shivam Dubey scored 39 runs in 32 balls. In the end, MS Dhoni added 16 runs in 17 balls and Anshul Kamboj added 10 runs in 5 balls to 187.

Rajasthan’s victory

Rajasthan Royals started chasing the target of 188 runs by Chennai Super Kings. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi handled the innings and gave the team a concrete start. Yashasvi batted in an aggressive manner and scored fast. He scored 36 runs off 19 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes. However, he was bowled by Anshul Kamboj.

Vaibhav handled the command

At the other end, Vaibhav started a little restrained, but once he was set on the crease, he also took an aggressive stance. Together with captain Sanju Samson, he carried forward the innings and completed a half -century by hitting a six in 27 balls. Sanju Samson scored 41 runs in 31 balls during this period, but after Vaibhav’s fifty, he also returned to the pavilion. After some time Vaibhav was also dismissed, he played an attractive innings of 57 runs in 33 balls which included 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Middle order played responsibility

After the dismissal of Sanju and Vaibhav, the responsibility was on Ryan Parag and Dhruv Jurlel. However, Noor Ahmed dismissed Ryan Parag in his spin. After this wicket, it seemed that Chennai could return to the match, but his bowling did not show a edge.

Dhruv and Hetmyer won easy win

After this, Dhruv Jurael and Shimran Hetmyer made no mistake. Together, both of them easily brought Rajasthan to the target. Jurael scored an unbeaten 31 off 12 balls, while Hetmyer added 12 runs in 5 balls. Rajasthan Royals won this match by 6 wickets with 17 balls left and the end of IPL 2025 was won.
