Mukesh Kumar fined
According to the IPL press release, Mukesh admitted the crime of Level 1 which comes under Article 2.2. This includes damage to cricket equipment or ground things during the match.
Mukesh Kumar accepted his mistake and accepted the decision of the match referee. In the mistake of Level 1, the decision of the match referee is final and valid.
Mukesh took two wickets for 48 runs in 4 overs in the match.
Mi vs DC match condition
Delhi’s team completely faltered in this match. It was necessary to win this match to stay in the playoff race. However, the team was reduced to just 121 runs. Mumbai, batting first, scored a score of 180/5. With this defeat, Delhi became the first team of IPL history, which despite winning four matches in the beginning of the season, could not make it to the playoffs.
Mukesh Kumar may take two wickets, but his last over became a major reason for the defeat of the team. In this over, Naman Dhiro hit two fours and two sixes. Mumbai scored a total of 48 runs in the last two overs. Captain Faf du Plessis said, “We have lost the game in the last two overs. Momentum is very important in cricket. The attack that he has done in the last, turned the first 17-18 overs.”
Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 73 and scored a strong run in the last over with Naman Dhiro (24 not out). This made Mumbai a good score on the pitch which was a little slow and turning.
The start of Delhi’s batting was poor. Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul were dismissed in the first three overs. After this, Jaspreet Bumrah (3/12) and Santner destroyed the middle order. Delhi’s expectations gradually ended, as if their entire season was over.
