Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) young batsman Sai Sudarshan Indian Premier League (IPL) is in tremendous form in 2025. He is currently an orange cap holder after scoring 638 runs in 13 innings. He had won the team by 10 wickets by scoring a brilliant century against Delhi Capitals (DC). However, his bat remained silent in the match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Thursday, causing Gujarat to face defeat by 33 runs. This defeat has shocked GT’s hopes of reaching the top two.
After the match, Sudarshan said, “Now the most important thing is to finish the top two so that we can get another chance to play qualifier 2 if needed. Our focus is on it.”
He added, “We have got a lot of experience and learning in these 13 matches. We are trying to fill them wherever we feel lacking, so that we can be fully prepared for the playoffs.”
Sai Sudarshan has been selected for the upcoming ‘India A’ team tour of England. Sai has already gained experience in England’s circumstances while playing for Surrey. However, at the moment his full focus is on the IPL.
The left -handed opener said, “It is necessary to be prepared mentally for the IPL right now, when this journey is over, then you will think about the tour of England. But, I am very happy about this opportunity. I think there will also be a great time there.”
Sudarshan further said, “IPL is a tournament where you cannot do too much, even if you qualify quickly, there is no scope for much change in the middle order.”
