Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins have been fined for violating the Code of Conduct of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This fine has been deployed due to maintaining slow over speed during the match played on Friday at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Patidar has been fined Rs 24 lakh, while Pat Cummins has been fined Rs 12 lakh. Patidar was not a captain in that match and only came to bat as ‘Impact Player’. Jitesh Sharma was regular captain in that match. Despite this, Patidar was fined for being a nominated captain. Since this was the second slow over rate of RCB season, the fine was doubled.
At the same time, Cummins was fined 12 lakh, because this was the first slow over rate of his team this season.
