Delhi: South African young batsman Dewald Bravis, who was signed as a replacement player by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, made an impressive performance for the team. Brevis, 22, posted a emotional message on social media after the season was over, in which he thanked the team and the support staff.

Two days after the season ended, on Tuesday, Brevis wrote in his social media post that he was very proud to join CSK. He said that the open heart that the team adopted him touched his heart. He thanked Chennai Management, Coaching Staff and Players.

Brevis has previously been a part of Mumbai Indians (in IPL 2022 and 2024). However, he remained unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction. After this, Chennai included him in the team after Gurjapneet Singh’s injury. Earlier, Brevis had scored 291 runs in 12 matches for Mi Cape Town in the SA20 League, which inspired CSK to choose him.
2026 with new expectations
