Out or Natout! On Jitesh Sharma’s mind appeal by Digvesh Rathi, Anil Chaudhary revealed a big secret

In the final league match of the Indian Premier League 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium. In this match, Jitesh Sharma, who is captaining for Royal Challengers Bangalore, played a stormy innings of 85* runs for his team while batting. During his innings, Jitesh hit 8 fours and 6 sixes.

Jitesh Sharma during his innings fiercely classified all the bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants. However, during the match, Lucknow team’s young spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi wanted to runout him by Mankading.

But, first the decision went to the third umpire and then the Lucknow team captain Rishabh Pant also withdrew this appeal. So at the same time, now former umpire Anil Chaudhary has presented his side with this. Chaudhary explained why Jitesh Sharma’s run out appeal was called notout.

Star Sports has shared a video on his official social media account in which Anil Chaudhary is saying, ‘If you listen to the commentary, the magnificent spinner had gone ahead of the crease and his hand had never gone up. However, I felt that he was out. After the decision of the third umpire, Rishabh Pant also rejected the appeal.

According to the rule, he had runout Jitesh Sharma before throwing the ball. While doing so, he must have seen his Ravichandran Ashwin. I felt that Jitesh Sharma was out but whatever decision of the TV umpire is at the top. The field umpire could have asked Rishabh Pant before going up, what he wanted. Michael asked Digvesh if you are appealing and he said yes.

RCB confirmed its place in qualifier-1

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore have confirmed their place in the qualifier-1 of IPL 2025 after winning the match against Lucknow Super Giants. The first qualifier match will be played on 29 May in New Chandigarh. In this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Punjab Kings.
