Delhi: Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young opener of the Indian team, could not do anything special in his first innings under the difficult situations of England. Jaiswal started the innings with Abhimanyu Ishwar. However, the two openers were very upset by England Lions bowlers Ajit Singh-Dale and Josh Hul’s brilliant swing bowling. Ishwaran was out lbw off the ball of Hul by scoring 8 runs in just 17 balls. His poor form continues from Australia tour itself.
Jaiswal hit 3 fours and 1 six in his innings, but the ball on which he lost his wicket. He was not a shot to play in the first session in England. He tried to put a slog shot on the ball going out of the off side and wicketkeeper James Ru caught his easy catch off AD Jack.
Significantly, Eddie Jack had not played any first class match till now, but he surprised everyone by dismissing a batsman like Jaiswal. This demonstration is a warning for Jaiswal that it is very important to play with restraint and technology in England.
