Delhi: A fan of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has appealed to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that if the team wins the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title, then June 3 should be declared a public holiday in the entire state. A fan has sent this demand to the CM through a hand written letter.
On Thursday, RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 8 wickets in Qualifier 1 and made it to the IPL final for the first time since 2016. In the final, RCB will compete with one of the Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans or Punjab Kings.
This fan has also requested the Chief Minister that if the RCB trophy wins, this day should be celebrated every year as “RCB Fans Festival”, so that the fans who have supported the team’s ups and downs since 2008 can get a special day.
The letter reads, “I want to bring to your attention that if the RCB team reaches the final and wins the IPL, then a holiday should be declared in the state of Karnataka and that day should be celebrated as ‘Karnataka State RCB Fans Festival’.”
It is further written, “Karnataka is known for the love of cricket, and especially for RCB. We, RCB fans, celebrate every victory with great enthusiasm, so I politely request that if the RCB cup wins, the Karnataka government should declare that day as a public holiday and celebrate as ‘RCB Fans Festival’.”
