Karnataka government handed over the investigation to CID

11 people died in this painful accident, while many people were injured. As soon as the Karnataka government came to know about the incident, it immediately instructed the administration to control the situation.
The government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for every person who died during the stampede and announced to bear all medical expenses of the injured. At the same time, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has also promised additional compensation of Rs 5 lakh for each deceased.
Apart from this, RCB franchise has also announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to each family of 11 dead. RCB has also promised to start a fund called ‘RCB Cares’ for the injured. At the same time, the investigation of this incident has been handed over to the CID by the Government of Karnataka.
Government handed over investigation to CID
Explain that in its status report submitted to the court, the government said that an FIR has been registered under Section 105, 125 (1) (2), 132, 121/1, 190 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) under Crime No. 123/2025 at Kabban Park Police Station. Now the FIR has been handed over to CID with instructions to create SIT for further investigation.
Case filed against RCB, KSCA and program organizers
Explain that a case has been registered against RCB, KSCA, DNA network and others involved in organizing that celebration. The FIR lodged by the Kabban Park Police was confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central Shekhar H. Teknavar.
