England batsman Jose Butler has given his opinion about Shubman Gill’s captaincy. He told that Gill was the captain of Gujarat Titans during IPL 2025, and at the same time he found Gill a sensible and calm man. Butler said that Gill has good leadership ability.

Gill’s test experience and record

Shubman Gill has played 32 Test matches for India so far, in which he has scored 1893 runs. His average is 35.05 and he has five centuries and seven half -centuries. However, his performance abroad has not been special yet. In the three Tests played in England, he has been able to score only 88 runs, in which his best score is 28 runs.
