Delhi: Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has congratulated Sri Lankan veteran all -rounder Angelo Mathews for his Test career. Mathews is playing his last Test match against Bangladesh in Gaul. After this match, he will retire from Test cricket.

Angelo Mathews has played a total of 119 matches in his Test career. During this, he scored 8167 runs which included 16 centuries and 45 half -centuries. His average has been 44.62. He is the third highest run -scorer in Test cricket for Sri Lanka.

Mathews was the hero of historic victory in England

Sri Lanka won by 100 runs in that match. He also received the ‘Player of the Match’ and ‘Player of the Series’ awards for this performance.
