Delhi: Indian team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has indicated to play more matches in the ongoing Test series in England. Earlier it was being said that he would play only three Tests out of five so that the workload could be managed. But Bumrah is feeling more fit in England’s cold and refreshed circumstances.

In the Handingley Test, Jasprit Bumrah destroyed England’s batting on his own. He took 5 wickets for 83 runs, while the rest of the bowlers could spend 382 runs and take only 5 wickets.

Playing good in cold

Talking to the BBC after the third day’s play is over, Bumrah said, “The weather here is cold, which makes the body feel good. Hopefully there is a good performance.”

Fielding lapse

India’s fielding was poor for two days. Especially Yashasvi Jaiswal left several catches, which disappointed the team. But Bumrah encouraged the young player and said that no one deliberately leaves a catch. He said, “I am happy on the field and smile. Sometimes it becomes difficult to catch the ball in the cold. I try not to affect my performance.”

Weakness seen in bowling

India’s bowling was nothing special on the second and third day. Initially, Oli Pope’s wicket got lucky and Harry Brook was dismissed for 99, but England scored fast and reached 465. India’s first innings was 472 runs.

Trust on inexperienced bowlers

Famous Krishna, who was playing his first Test in England, was scored from an economy of 6.4. At the same time, Shardul Thakur also gave runs at the rate of 6.33.
