Delhi: Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw ended his journey with the Mumbai cricket team on Monday. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has released the NOC (No Objection Certificate) allowing them to play for another home team. Prithvi will now be seen playing with a new team.

Shaw has been excluded from red ball cricket for some time, but he has been active in white ball cricket. Disputes about their discipline outside the field have also been in discussion many times.

MCA approves Earth

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said in an official statement that Prithvi Shaw had sought NOC to play from another state team as a professional player. The association has given NOC after considering.

MCA Secretary Abhay Hadp said that Prithvi Shaw has contributed a lot for Mumbai cricket. We respect his decision and wish for the future.

Will Shaw play for Maharashtra now?

According to the Times of India report, Prithvi Shaw can now play with Maharashtra team. If this happens, he will play under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad. Ruturaj is a regular captain of Maharashtra and is available for most matches in the domestic season due to not being a part of Team India.

Shaw was dropped from the team by Mumbai at the beginning of 2024/25 Ranji season. He later returned to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Mumbai also won that tournament.
