Sachin Tendulkar praised Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal: cricket’s God applauds.

Delhi: On the first day of the second Test against England in Edgbaston, India scored a strong score of 310/5 thanks to the strong innings of Yashaswi Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill. England decided to bowl first by winning the toss. England did not make any changes in their playing eleven, while India made three changes.

However, in the evening session, India lost some fast wickets, but captain Shubman Gill (114 not out) kept one end while showing patience. He took over the team by holding an unbeaten 99 -run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja (41 not out) and ended the game of the day without any other wicket loss.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bang start

In the morning session, when India lost the wicket of KL Rahul quickly, Jaiswal batted in an aggressive manner and gave the team a strong start. He played a brilliant innings of 87 runs and had two important half -century partnerships with Karun Nair and Gill.

Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket, praised these two young batsmen. He wrote on ‘X’ (East Twitter), “Yashasvi Jaiswal made a rhythm with the first ball. He was positive, fearless and aggressive. He also made wisdom. Shubman Gill was also calm as usual, stable under pressure, strong and completely in control. The innings of both were classic. Fabulous games, boys!”

India, batting brilliantly on the first day, has strengthened the grip on the Test. Now the eyes will be on how much India is able to gain on the second day and whether Gill can convert his innings into a double century or not.
