ENG vs IND: Mohammad Siraj made history by leading India to victory with a brilliant century

Delhi: Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has achieved another major achievement in Test cricket. He completed a special century against England at the Oval ground in London. Siraj has now become India’s 7th fast bowler to take 100 wickets in Test cricket on foreign soil.

Siraj achieved this feat by taking the wicket of Jack Carouly in England’s first innings. This was his 27th Test match played outside India. He completed 100 Test wickets as soon as he took wickets in this match. Prior to them, this feat has been done by Kapil Dev, Jawagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Jaspreet Bumrah.

Siraj is in great form

Mohammad Siraj has been in great form in this series. Whenever captain Shubman Gill gave him the ball, he gave the team wickets. Siraj is also the highest wicket -taking bowler in the series so far. His aggressive style and faster combinations have been continuously beneficial for Team India.

Siraj demonstration abroad

Siraj made a Test debut against Australia in December 2020. Since then, he has done many great performances abroad. In Australia, he has taken 33 wickets by playing 8 Tests. He has 42 wickets in 11 Tests in England. In South Africa, he has sent 12 batsmen to the pavilion in 4 Tests.

Now it has to be seen how Siraj bowls in the upcoming matches. But at the moment he has impressed everyone with his performance on foreign pitches and has played an important role in bringing Team India to new heights.
