Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released a new ranking of Test players on Wednesday, in which South Africa’s legendary paceman Kagiso Rabada has snatched the top position from India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Rabada performed brilliantly in the first test against Bangladesh and took 9 wickets, due to which he moved up three places to become the number one bowler. He currently has 860 rating points, while Bumrah has slipped to third place with 846 points. He did not get any wicket in the second test against New Zealand in Pune.

Australia’s Josh Hazlewood is in second place with 847 points, while India’s Ravichandran Ashwin is in fourth place with 831 points and Australia captain Pat Cummins is in fifth place with 820 points.

Pakistan’s spinner Noman Ali has made his place in the top-10 after performing well in the third test against England. He took 9 wickets in the match and jumped 8 places to reach ninth position. His compatriot Sajid Khan has also moved up 12 places to 38th position after taking 10 wickets. New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner has also climbed 30 places to 44th position by taking 13 wickets in the Pune Test against India.

Indian batsmen suffered big loss

At the same time, this ranking has been bad for Indian batsmen. Virat Kohli has fallen 7 places to 14th and captain Rohit Sharma has slipped 9 places to 24th. Both of them performed disappointingly in the Pune Test. At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal is the only Indian who remains in the top-10. He has secured third position with 790 marks. England’s Joe Root remains on top with 903 points.
