IPL 2025: RCB Retained and Released Players List: The last season of IPL was very exciting for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The team made it to the playoffs by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs in the last match of the league stage. But then after facing defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator, the team was out of the tournament and once again the dream of winning the trophy remained unfulfilled.

Ever since BCCI gave the IPL retention rules and deadline, RCB fans were excited to know which players the franchise is going to retain. RCB has released the retention list on October 31, the franchise has retained only three players before the IPL mega auction. Big players like Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Will Jacques and Cameron Green have been released.

Kohli, Yash Dayal and Patidar were retained

Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained Virat Kohli (21 crore), Rajat Patidar (11 crore) and Yash Dayal (5 crore) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

There were continuous reports in media reports that Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to release Faf du Plessis and exactly the same has happened. Now perhaps, Virat Kohli can be seen captaining again in the upcoming season. Let us tell you, Virat left the captaincy in 2021.
