A 3-match Test series is being played between India and New Zealand, the third and final Test match of which is being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In response to New Zealand’s first innings score of 235 runs, the Indian team scored 263 runs in its first innings and took a significant lead of 28 runs over New Zealand. After which, by the end of the second day’s play, India had taken 9 wickets at the score of 171 runs in New Zealand’s second innings. After which now the Kiwi team has taken a lead of 143 runs over India.

In the Mumbai Test match, Team India played ahead of its score of 86 runs for 4 wickets on the first day. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant batted well for India. Especially Rishabh Pant looked very aggressive and scored 60 runs in 59 balls, while Shubman Gill played an inning of 90 runs, with the help of which India scored 263 runs in the first innings. Ajaz Patel took 5 wickets for New Zealand.

New Zealand has a lead of 143 runs

The New Zealand team came to play in the second innings after being behind by 28 runs. The Kiwi team continued to suffer setbacks at frequent intervals and lost 3 wickets for 44 runs. After this Will Young and Darryl Mitchell added 50 runs. After Mitchell’s dismissal, the Kiwi team faltered again and by the end of the second day’s play, 9 wickets had fallen at the score of 171 runs in the second innings of the Kiwi team. Will Young scored the maximum 51 runs, while for India, Ravindra Jadeja took 4 wickets and Ashwin took 3 wickets.
