Delhi: The Indian cricket team will tour Australia later this month, where it will play a five-match Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy). The first test match of this series will start on 22 November in Perth. However, there is confusion regarding the playing of Team India captain Rohit Sharma in the first match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its team for this tour and Rohit has been made the captain, but according to media reports, the hitman may remain absent in the first test.

This statement of his has left the fans in confusion. If Rohit does not play in the first match, then vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will take command of the team in his absence.

Now, to reach the finals, India will have to win four out of five matches and draw one match in the series against Australia.
