Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has refused to adopt the hybrid model for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Speaking to reporters in Lahore, Naqvi said that there has been no official discussion on this issue with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nor has BCCI raised any objection on it.

Klaasen did a feat which no South African batsman could do.

He said, “Our stand is clear. If BCCI has any objection, they should give it to us in writing, then we will consider it.”

Naqvi also said that Pakistan had toured India last year during the ICC ODI World Cup, so now India should also visit Pakistan. He said, “If we get any letter from India, we will take permission from our government and follow its decision. “We have already adopted the hybrid model for the Asia Cup, but this cannot happen every time.”

He also said that Pakistan has earmarked Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi as grounds for the Champions Trophy and India has been offered the opportunity to play all the matches in Lahore, which is close to the Indian border and suitable for Indian spectators. Would be convenient. Apart from this, PCB has arranged for 17,000 visas for the Indian spectators.

India is firm on its stand

Naqvi says that Pakistan has no problem in hosting the tournament and has promised to provide every facility to all the teams. However, BCCI’s stand in this matter is still the same. This tournament will be held in Pakistan from 19 February to 9 March 2025, but the schedule is yet to be formally announced.
