Team India lost the match it had won in the second T20 match of the series against South Africa. At one time in the second match played in Gkebarha, the Indian team seemed to be moving towards victory despite the low score, but the lapse in captaincy led to the defeat of Team India. Despite losing this winning game, captain Suryakumar Yadav said that he will continue to play his brand of cricket.

Surya praised Varun Chakraborty

After the match, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav said, “If a bowler is taking five wickets while defending 125 runs in a T-20 match, then it is amazing. Varun has waited a long time for this. He has worked hard on his bowling and everyone enjoyed his spell.”

“Whatever total you make, you have to back it. Obviously in a T20 match you don’t want to score just 120 runs, but I am proud of the way the bowlers of the team performed. I think we bowled very well and our bowlers executed the planning very well.”

Despite bad batting, Surya did not make any difference

After this he supported the poor batting and said that, “Talking about batting, sometimes you lose wickets in bunches, which is not good at all. We will learn from this performance and obviously we will continue our brand of cricket going forward.”
