It is also being said in the viral message that RBI has taken this step at the behest of the Government of India, which wants to honor Dhoni for his contribution to the game of cricket.

However, amid this viral message on social media, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has recently issued a post regarding this. In this post, the organization has clarified that the Indian Government Department of Economic Affairs has not made any such announcement yet.

It was written in this post that the claim made in the picture is fake and the Department of Economic Affairs has not made any such announcement. Apart from this, the organization has also tagged key government organizations like Finance Ministry, DD News and All India Radio News to increase clarification.
