Delhi: On the first day of the Perth Test between India and Australia, Kangaroo batsman Marnus Labuschagne made a unique record in Test cricket. He has become the batsman to play the slowest innings for Australia in Test cricket history.
Labuschagne faced only 2 runs in 52 balls and his strike rate was 3.85. After this, he was caught by Virat Kohli on the ball of Mohammad Siraj.
Labuschagne’s strike rate is the slowest in the history of Australia in Test cricket. He broke Steve O’Keefe’s record made against Sri Lanka in 2016. In that match, O’Keefe scored only 4 runs in 98 balls at a strike rate of 4.08.
