Father’s salon and childhood full of struggle
Chandni’s life was not easy. Chandni’s father Ramkumar Sharma, who hails from a small village of Sultanpur, runs a small salon in Lucknow. In 2007, his family settled in Ashiana area of Lucknow. Despite limited resources and financial constraints, Chandni did not give up her dreams. Even though his height was small at the age of 18, his confidence and hard work took him to great heights.
Struggled by cycling 25 kilometers
Chandni told in an interview that her passion and hard work towards cricket has taken her to this point. In the initial days, she faced many difficulties, like traveling 25 kilometers by bicycle, problem of raising money for admission to the academy and lack of support from the family, but she never gave up and is now going to be a part of the Indian team. .
Changed thinking of parents
Chandni’s mother Kanti Sharma told that earlier she used to stop her daughter from playing cricket, but now feels proud of her daughter’s achievement. His father Ramkumar Sharma said that the struggle that the family endured despite poverty has become meaningful today. He never thought that his daughter would achieve such great success.
Contribution of school and coach
Chandni studied at Jai Hind Public School, Lucknow. School Principal Balbir Singh Bisht expressed happiness over her success and said that Chandni may have performed average in studies, but in cricket, she has brought glory to the school and family with her hard work and dedication.
