Delhi: Indian cricket team’s legendary paceman Jasprit Bumrah has achieved another big achievement in his Test career. Bumrah has now become the second fast bowler to take the most Test wickets for India in a calendar year. By breaking this record he has left Zaheer Khan behind. Zaheer had taken a total of 51 wickets in the year 2002, whereas this year Bumrah has taken 52* wickets so far.

Kapil Dev holds the record for taking most wickets in a calendar year for India in Tests. He took 75 wickets in 1983 and 74 wickets in 1979.

Talking about the fast bowlers of the world, Dennis Lillee of Australia made a record by taking 85 wickets in 1981. After this, Allan Donald took 80 wickets in 1998, Joel Garner of West Indies took 79 wickets in 1984, and Kapil Dev took 75 wickets in 1983.
