Delhi: Australia’s legendary fast bowler Mitchell Starc, after winning the Pink Ball Test match against India, revealed that his team left the disappointment of the big defeat in the first match of the series in Perth and did not pay attention to ‘external criticism’.

AUS vs IND: Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the second test match, leveled the series.

In the first Test of the five-match series, India defeated Australia by 295 runs, while the Indian team was restricted to only 150 runs in the first innings. Australia was criticized a lot after this defeat, but the Kangaroos made a strong comeback in the second test.

Starc performed brilliantly with the pink ball and took 8 wickets for 108 runs in the match. He put India on the backfoot by taking 6 wickets in the first innings. He talked about putting Perth’s defeat behind him and said, “There was a lot of criticism outside after that defeat, but we left the disappointment of Perth there.”

‘I made a slight change in my length and kept the ball forward’

Talking about his strategy with the pink ball, he said, “I made a slight change in my length and kept the ball forward. This ball is closer to the white ball than the red ball. We adopted a positive attitude with both bat and ball and the team benefited from it.”

Starc credited captain Pat Cummins for the improvement in his bowling. He said, “I have been learning a lot from Cummins for the last seven years. With his help, I have incorporated new techniques in my bowling.”
