Delhi: New Zealand opener Devon Conway has been ruled out of the third and final Test match of the New Zealand vs England Test series as he is awaiting the birth of his first child. This test match will be played in Hamilton from 14 to 18 December.

How Virat Kohli changed the history of Indian Test in 8 years, became the captain on this very day

The team supported Conway

With his absence Conway will leave a big void at the top of the team’s order. In his place, New Zealand has included middle-order batsman Mark Chapman in the team. Team head coach Gary Stead supported Conway’s decision, saying, “We are all very happy to welcome Dev (Devon Conway) and his wife Kim’s first child. “Family always comes first.”

Mark Chapman in great form

Mark Chapman, who was part of the Test team on the recent tour of India, has returned with a brilliant performance in the Plunket Shield. He had scored 276 runs there, due to which his form also looks excellent.

Will Young may get a chance

Conway’s absence may give a chance to Will Young, who scored 244 runs at an average of 48.40 on the India tour. However, due to the return of Kane Williamson in this series, he did not get a place in the team. Williamson has so far scored 195 runs at an average of 48.75 and has performed well after recovering from his injury.

England has already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. In the second test, England had won a big victory by 323 runs. The last match of the series will be played in Hamilton from 14 to 18 December.
