Delhi: 24-year-old young fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti is ready to return to the field once again after being selected by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. ‘Playing with Dhoni sir is a dream’

This time most of the franchises avoided betting on him in the IPL auction. But, finally CSK included him in their team for Rs 30 lakh. Nagarkoti said about this opportunity, “I was waiting for this day for a long time. I have got a chance once again, I am very grateful for this. It is every player’s dream to get a chance to play with Dhoni sir.”

‘Now I am completely fit’

Nagarkoti told that he has worked hard on fitness and now he has completely recovered from the injuries. Recalling his struggle, he said, “Injuries troubled me for many years. Many times it seemed that I might not be able to return. But, I promised myself that I would return to the field. Now I am completely fit and ready to return to my old rhythm on the field.”

‘Will help CSK win the sixth title’

Kamlesh has also seen big dreams about his upcoming IPL season. He said, “CSK has won the title five times, and my dream is to help the team win its sixth title this time. I am very excited to work with Dhoni sir.”

Due to his excellent performance in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, Kamlesh Nagarkoti was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 3.2 crore. But, injuries affected his career. In 2020, he made his debut in IPL and took five wickets in 10 matches. After this, despite moving to Delhi Capitals, he could not play continuously due to injuries.
