Delhi: Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has achieved a big achievement. He has become the first Pakistani bowler to take 100-100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket (Test, ODI and T20). He achieved this feat during the first T20 match played against South Africa in Durban on 10 December. In this match, 24 year old Shaheen bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets. He took wickets in one powerplay, one in the middle over and one in the death over.

Completed 100 wickets in all three formats

With this performance, Shaheen’s total wickets in T20 International have reached 100. Before this, he had 112 wickets in his name in ODI and 116 wickets in Test cricket. This record is also special because even legendary bowlers like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis could not achieve this feat in all three formats, because not many T20 matches were played during their era.

Shaheen has become the third Pakistani bowler to take 100 T20I wickets. Before him, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan have achieved this position. Shaheen achieved this feat in his 74th T20 match, which makes him the second fastest Pakistani bowler to achieve this feat. In this matter, he is behind only Haris Rauf, who made this record in 71 matches.

Youngest to take 100 wickets in all three formats

With this, Shaheen has become the youngest bowler to take 100 wickets in all three formats. He has made a place in the list of legendary players like New Zealand’s Tim Southee, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga.
