Delhi: The performance of the Indian women’s cricket team in the three-match ODI series being played in Australia has not been as per expectations. Team India had to face disappointment in the first two matches. However, in the third ODI match, some changes were made in the team’s playing eleven, in which fast bowler Arundhati Reddy was included. Arundhati proved her selection completely right and did a feat which no bowler had been able to do till now in the history of Indian women’s cricket.

During the match, when Arundhati Reddy was handed the bowling, the Australian team had scored 50 runs without any loss. Reddy first sent Georgia Woll to the pavilion and then took the wickets of Phoebe Litchfield, Beth Mooney and Elise Perry. With this performance, Arundhati dismissed Australia’s top four batsmen. She became the fourth bowler in the history of women’s ODI cricket to dismiss the top-4 batsmen of the opposition team in a match. The special thing is that Arundhati is the first Indian woman bowler to achieve this feat.
