Delhi: Rohan Jaitley has retained his post as President by winning again in the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) elections. He has become the President of DDCA for the second consecutive time by defeating former Indian cricketer Kirti Azad. A total of 2,413 votes were cast in this election, out of which Rohan secured 1,577 votes and registered a big victory. Kirti Azad could get only 777 votes.

In the counting of votes held on Tuesday, December 17, he needed at least 1,207 votes to win. Many members of Rohan Jaitley’s administration also remained on important positions after achieving a big victory in this election. Shikha Kumar was elected Vice President of DDCA, defeating Rakesh Kumar Bansal and Sudhir Kumar by a wide margin. Ashok Kumar was elected to the post of Secretary, while Harish Singla took the charge of Treasurer. Apart from this, Amit Grover emerged victorious for the post of Joint Secretary. DDCA elections were held between 13 and 15 December.
Kirti Azad made serious allegations!
For your information, let us tell you that according to reports, Kirti Azad had made serious allegations against Rohan Jaitley’s administration. Trinamool Congress leader Kirti said that in the last financial year, DDCA received Rs 140 crore from BCCI, but very little of it was utilized. He alleged that Rs 17.5 crore was spent on floodlights, whereas the cost of installing floodlights in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, which is much bigger than Delhi’s, was only Rs 7.5 crore. He also claimed that DDCA spent Rs 19 crore to build 8 lifts.
